The Plan

The SJSU Learning and Games Consortium(LGC) is hosting the Global Game Jam (GGJ) on campus January 24-26, 2014.

GGJ is open to all. Students from all majors are encouraged to sign up at http://globalgamejam.org

and to join our jam site (under construction) http://globalgamejam.org/2014/jam-sites/san-josé-state-university GGJ is focused on collaboratively creating games under a to be announced theme with a diverse group of jammers from various disciplines.

SJSU officially launches Friday Jan 24 at 5pm and culminates on Sunday Jan 26 with game presentations at 4:30. More details will be sent out in the upcoming weeks to participants.

You do not need to be on a team to register (we will do some team forming on site) and “Although having computer skills is helpful, code experience is not necessary. Designers, developers, artists and anyone is welcome to try their hand at making a game during the GGJ.” Web skills, marketing skills, testing skills production management and many other things are necessary to successfully create a game.
